Motorola One Power In India: Launch Date Confirmed

Motorola had unveiled the Motorola One Power at IFA 2018 and kept us waiting ever since. The wait is now over as Motorola has set the launch date of Motorola One Power for September 24 in India. The company teased the upcoming smartphone on its social media channels and confirmed the launch date. After continuous hate from Indians for the ridiculous pricing of the Moto G6 Plus, this smartphone is expected to be kind of a relief.

Motorola One Power Specifications And Features:

The Motorola One Power features a 6.2 inches FHD+ display with 1080 x 2246 pixels and 18.7:9 ratio with a notch. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with 4GB of Ram and 64GB of onboard storage. The highlight being, as the name suggests, Android One platform. This device will come with Android 8.1 Oreo onboard with a promised future upgrade to Android 9 Pie.

The phone seems to a bit on the heavier side and it’s thick too but that is expected with the huge 5000mAh battery that is housed in this smartphone. There is a Type-C reversible connector with support for Motorola’s TurboPower charging. Motorola has included a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and kept the 3.5mm audio jack.

The cameras of the Motorola One Power look good on paper, with a vertical dual camera setup at the rear. It is consisting of 16MP, f/1.8, PDAF primary camera and a 5MP depth sensor. It can record video footage up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second. The selfie cam is a 12MP, f/2.0 sensor. Motorola has produced great cameras in the budget segment in the past years. But with the increasing competition, Motorola will have to step up its game to stay in the market.

Motorola One Power Price in India:

Motorola One Power is expected to be priced near the INR 15,000 mark in India. Considering the specifications this pricing looks like accurate to me. This was a much-needed launch as the Moto G6 and G6 Plus are priced absurdly high in the Indian market. Motorola thinks it has made G series a brand-name so it can offer sub-par specs at high prices just like Oppo and Vivo did earlier. To make up for it, it’s offering the Motorola One Power with the price and specs we wanted to see from Motorola.
